Originally from the East Coast, Meghan is a millennial on the move who tossed caution to the wind to pursue her hot new career in Los Angeles. She lets Jake and Jazz take over her studio apartment in Koreatown. Jazz redesigns her space and Jake builds her a custom headboard to die for, taking it from drab to FAB. By adding beautiful pops of pink and bold accent pieces, at the end of this redesign we'll find that Meghan's space will have a friend wanting to move in. In this reveal, there will also be a surprise guest from back home. Following, Jake and Jazz show Meghan how to entertain in her new space with libations, shrimp and carne asada tacos, and fluffy cinnamon sugar doughnuts that she piles high enough to feed a small crowd.
Jake and Jazz take a quick little trip to a neighborhood in LA called Culver City to the home of Shay. Shay is a Millennial mom paving the way for her daughter who has acting aspirations. They moved from the Midwest to LA with purpose and a vision. The day to day grind gives Shay little time to think about redecorating her home because mommy duties are always her first priority. This mom is in need of a space for herself and her daughter to spend time together each day.
Taylor is a music lover who dances to the beat of her own drum, this big celebrity drummer has played with the best in the business and is always on the road performing or just at home working on new music. Her love for music is apparent and can be seen online and it's online where her followers make lots of her music videos go viral. She's got the music aspect of her life all worked out, it's just her living space that needs a little help. She needs a place that reflects her personality, and a space that allows her to entertain her friends at home.
Mel Hunter is a budding celebrity makeup artist who is just like a lot of millennials - on the move with her makeup jobs, and working on creating additional income with her love for fashion and Jewelry. Mel is the quintessential millennial entrepreneur always on her grind and making money moves to help all of her businesses grow. She has grown out of her space but she really cannot move and has to find a way to make her current space a living/workspace until she can move on and move up to a larger place. In come Jake and Jazz. They dive deep into this mission with a redesign you'll never forget, an unbelievable way to organize this entrepreneur with her many businesses will come together in a snap.
Jessica is a millennial stay-at-home mom who home-schools her two sons. Her family spends most of their time in the family room and all agree that it's neither fashionable nor functional for the whole family. Jessica would like the room to symbolize what really goes on in this room but she wants it to be neatly organized and functional. It's a room with many roles and keeping those defined into parts of the big picture is a big deal for this family.
