It's the eve of Waffle's first Christmas with the Brooklyn-Bells. Mrs Hobbs is invited, and Gramps has knitted a Christmas jumper. Waffle learns about Santa and really wants to meet him.
The Brooklyn-Bells are away, so Waffle is at Angela's kennels. He makes a new friend called Pepper but misses his family and barks non-stop. Jess knows who can help - Mrs Hobbs.
Waffle tries to be a purr-fect house guest for Mrs Hobbs but he misses the Brooklyn-Bells.
Waffle has accidentally flooded Mrs Hobbs' kitchen and she's furious. Jess and Simon mop up while Waffle, with Doug and Evie's help, makes George a special new bed to say sorry.
While her kitchen dries out Mrs Hobbs is at the Brooklyn-Bells' house with George. Waffle joins the walk to school on Evie's first day but causes playground chaos and is sent home.
Evie's mum, Jess, has just married Doug's dad, Simon. They arrive home to find a puppy hiding in their wedding gifts. This magical talking dog will change their lives forever.
