Episodes
Having just learned that his longtime girlfriend, Renee, was pregnant, Scott runs away from his graduation party and calls his entourage of Steve Cuccio, Jason Hervey, and Johnny V, for a late night meeting at the golf course.
Scott and Renee begin the process of moving into their massive new house. When Renee starts barking orders at Scott, he begins to feel some apprehension about the whole sha-bang; living with Renee, having a daughter, losing his freedoms. Later, when he refuses to disclose his anxieties with the Daddy's-To-Be-Class, Scott is encouraged to find someone to share his feelings with, before they overwhelm him. The next day, Scott & Renee join Johnny V on a blind date. When the night turns into a complete disaster because of Johnny V's antics, Scott briefly feels better about his own situation; that is until the following morning. Once again, Renee is busting his chops, and constant reminders of the coming baby send him back into panic mode. His brain is filled with unwelcome thoughts, and his frustration grows as he struggles to find someone to help assuage his fears.
While attending his Daddies-To-Be class, Scott is encouraged to revisit his hometown of Brooklyn, in hopes of determining if he wants to raise his daughter in the same manner that his parents raised him. Although Renee is too pregnant to take the flight with him, she gives Scott her blessing to go alone. Scott jumps on a plane and heads off to New York. After revisiting the home that he grew up in, Scott reunites with old friends, neighbors, and schoolteachers. Each offers Scott different parenting advice, as well as different recollections of his childhood. Even though he thoroughly enjoys the trip down memory lane, in light of all the conflicting information, Scott worries that he will return to LA in the same position that he was in when he left: completely freaked out, with no idea how in the world he is going to raise a child.
Scott attends his weekly Daddy's-to-be class, where he learns that raising a child is way more expensive than he had expected. This news couldn t have come at a worse time, as Scott is currently negotiating prices with his wedding planner and reluctantly being dragged off to his "Man Shower" in the most expensive city in the world - Las Vegas. Later, while Renee entertains guests at her well-mannered baby shower back in LA, Scott and the gang, plus a few other old friends, arrive in sin city, with hopes of reliving the glory days. Unfortunately, with Johnny V planning the night s events, and Scott on a strict budget, it s pretty much a disaster waiting to happen.
As Renee's delivery date approaches, Scott's anxieties about becoming a father go from bad to worse. Feeling completely unprepared to become a parent, he quits his Daddies to be class, and calls an emergency meeting with his old life coach, Doc Ali. She tells Scott that he's missing out on all the best parts of becoming a dad, and must "Get on the Ride" -- or risk letting these life changing moments pass him by. Along the way, Scott also has to console a depressed Johnny V, reconnect with his soon to be step-daughter, and attend a new age birthing class that sends him and Renee straight to the delivery room.
The actor hires a "life-changing counselor" to help him figure out why he hasn't been able to commit to a relationship.
