Miriam and Alan board a train and cross the 21-arched Glenfinnan viaduct which has become a famous landmark from the Harry Potter movies. They attend a LGBTQ+ wedding where Alan as an ordained minister conducts the service.
The duo travel to the Isle of Skye for a magical boat trip and some wand whittling. Then head to Glasgow to visit a Jewish, LGBTQ+, vegan, anarchist cafe. Miriam and Alan finally end up in the US to begin the American leg of their travels.
A Santa Barbara 'drugs den' is the first port of call for the duo. Miriam and Alan then travel to Palm Springs where they enjoy drag bingo and join a gay knitting group.
As their journey reaches it's conclusion, Miriam and Alan visit a dog healing centre in LA where Alan's dog Lala receives treatment. Later they travel to Vegas and Miriam is lost for words for once as the duo visit a cabaret show.
Miriam Margolyes and Alan Cumming roll back the decades and return to their Scottish roots. Part rediscovery, part revelation, they follow them as they take to the road and motorhome their way through Scotland's Highlands.
