Miffy and her family go on a trip up to the mountains. Miffy and Melanie exchange postcards through the mail.
On a cloudy day, Miffy and Barbara Bear go out to look for some coloured leaves. When it starts to rain, Barbara walks Miffy home under her big umbrella. From the coloured leaves they have collected they make some beautiful rain clothes to wear! Grandpa and Grandma Bunny take Miffy to the beach. They remember making sandcastles when they were young, so that is what Miffy decides to do! She meets Melanie, and together they play with a ball. They won't get lost, because the sandcastle marks the place where the family is. But then the tide comes in, and soon the sandcastle has been washed away.
On her way to Auntie Alice's house, Miffy finds a caterpillar. She brings it over to her Auntie, who tells her that something magical will happen if Miffy visits her every week and feeds it. So, that's what she does, but nothing happens! One day the caterpillar is suddenly all covered up. Is it ill? But then Miffy discovers the magical change that takes place. One morning, the Bunny family has no carrots left. Miffy goes over to Poppy Pig's for some, but she has just eaten her last one. Just then Auntie Alice passes by, and invites Miffy to an exciting carrot party! All the friends are invited, and by the end even Boris and Barbara Bear love carrots!
Miffy loves colors. She knows a lot of them, and thinks that it is good there are so many! She goes to the playground with Melanie. On their way, they see all sorts of colored things. Miffy and Melanie are different colors, but still the same. Imagine if the world was all in one color, how boring that would be... Miffy is very happy to see a colorful rainbow! Grandma and Grandpa Bunny come to visit and bring Miffy a large present. It is a scooter that Grandpa has made. Miffy and her teddy bear take the scooter to the playground, where Melanie tries it out and likes it very much.
One day, Miffy rides her scooter to Poppy Pig's after school. When it is time to go home, she discovers that it has started to snow. Although she is very careful, Miffy slips over. She isn't hurt, but when she arrives home she discovers that the biscuits Poppy gave her are broken. While her father takes Miffy out on her sledge, Mother Bunny bakes some fresh biscuits. Poppy Pig's niece Grunty comes to stay overnight. As the weather is so warm, they are able to sleep in a tent out in the garden! During the night, Grunty is so afraid of all the strange sounds she can hear that the next night Miffy and Grunty sleep in a tent in Poppy Pig's garden. Now Miffy can't sleep. It turns out that it is Poppy's snoring that is keeping her awake!
Miffy and Friends celebrate winter holidays, play in the snow and enjoy seasonal fun.
