This introduces you to a dance studio called 'The Next Step', it has different groups due to your capability. Everyone in A or B troupe auditions for A troupe and there is a new girl what stirs the place up.
The new A-Troupe team results in one top dancer losing their spot. Emily is fighting to keep her spot as Dance Captain.
The A-Troupe is split in two to test the leadership of the competing Dance Captains.
When mate asks Emily to hold dance evaluation placements in the group dance, Emily decides to put Michelle in the back row to cause waves amongst the dancers
On a day off, some of the dancers go to the beach while some stay in the studio.
As the A-Troupe dancers prepare for the regional dance competition, relationships and loyalties are put to the test at the Next Step studio.
