The ladies are back and fierce as ever. Heather hosts her own birthday party, but no one is looking forward to seeing Aviva after some of her past eyebrow-raising behavior. Aviva approaches Ramona and attempts to bury the hatchet, but will Ramona take the bait? The ladies are also introduced to Heather's longtime friend Kristen, a working model and mother-of-two whose beauty becomes the talk of the party. Later, Aviva continues, in desperation, to get back into Ramona's good graces, but her final efforts prove shocking.
When Aviva scores a book deal for her memoir, she decides to meet with Carole, the renowned author of the group, for help. Their lunch quickly turns uncomfortable and things get ugly when the topic of "ghostwriters" is mentioned. Meanwhile, Sonja, who is happily dating a 23 year-old boy-toy, meets Aviva's ex-husband, Harry Dubin, for dinner, and their steamy history brims to the surface. Aviva hosts a housewarming at her new Upper West Side townhouse where Ramona sets Carole off by spreading some damning gossip. Carole goes toe-to-toe with her foe to clear her good name.
Carole and Aviva's explosive fight at Aviva's housewarming spills out into the party, shocking all in attendance. Ramona helps Avery get ready for prom and can barely come to terms with the fact that her little princess is leaving for college soon. Kristen gets pressure from her husband and Heather to run in a brutally physical mud run. Kristen reluctantly agrees to compete, but will she make it to the finish line with her body - and marriage - still intact?
The women head to the Hamptons to watch Sonja perform a burlesque number at a charity event, raising eyebrows and judgment amongst the crowd. Countess LuAnn makes her return to the group as she hosts a Hamptons barbecue at her home, where another explosive argument regarding "book-gate" leads Heather to ferociously defend Carole. Will LuAnn be able to restore order before Heather unleashes a fury that leaves Aviva wondering if she might have a criminal record?
The fighting at LuAnn's barbecue continues, leaving the ladies feeling frazzled. Sonja tries to lighten the mood with a relaxing brunch the next day where she unexpectedly loses a piece of herself - literally. Upon their return to the city, a rare honor is bestowed upon Carole at the Coney Island Mermaid Parade, which leads to Carole, Kristen, Sonja, LuAnn and Heather cavorting around the boardwalk dressed as sea-going drag queens. Meanwhile, Aviva and Reid head Upstate to see if Aviva can face her biggest fear - the very machine that took her leg when she was a child.
