Gaviota and Sebastián are struck by seeing each other in the coffee plantations, but there is Lucía, his girlfriend in NY, with whom he has a conflictive back and forth relationship.
Sebastián cannot take his eyes off Gaviota, while Lucía proposes to go to Colombia. The young Vallejo is undecided, return to NY or stay to work on his father's farm.
Sebastián does not imagine Gaviota as part of his family, but Marcela makes him think. Attraction wins over reason, he goes to the bar, where he asks her to dance. Ivan clings to the document.
