It's Dragon Day in Glipwood and visitors come to hear the migrating sea dragon song. Janner is in charge of his siblings, but runs into trouble with a bullying Fang of Dang before an accidental encounter with the mysterious sea dragons.
The kids play a game of Zibzy outside town, but a lost ball leads to a strange encounter with Peet the Sockman. Janner and Tink return to Books and Crannies and stumble upon a mysterious map.
Janner is taunted by the Fang Slarb with terrible news which his parents take to the mayor. The kids follow the map and discover a secret that changes everything.
The cottage is ransacked while the kids are rescued by Peet and discover a fantastic hideout. The fang Slarb picks a fight with his garrison with dangerous consequences.
