A year after the Laqua incident and Spinel's successful framing of the Rising Volt Tacklers, Roy encounters Uruto while investigating strange Pokémon behavior in Kalos. Together, they face a Slaking seemingly affected by Laquium.
Roy seeks help at Indigo Academy after finding a Laquium-affected Slaking. Liko is reluctant to assist due to recent events in Laqua and Terapagos staying in its Poké Ball.
Liko and Roy pursue a Rakulium-affected Pokémon while investigating the Rising Volt Tacklers. At a site with many holes and Rakulium traces, they face a fierce Haganeil with powerful defenses.
Gurumin gets a Black Rayquaza sighting report. At the witness's town, they meet superfan Nyabby Girl, who turns hostile upon learning they're Rising Volt Tacklers. Her Gaogaen battles Masquernya despite type disadvantage.
When Liko and the others learn that more and more Pokémon in a forest are getting sick, they begin to investigate whether or not this is because the Pokémon are affected by Rakulium. In the process, they run into Mollie, who's treating poisoned wild Pokémon. Mollie is currently working at a Pokémon Center... but the happy reunion gets interrupted by cries from scared Pokémon coming from the depths of the forest..... As they continue further in, they find a berserk Ruffresia scattering poison in all directions...?.
