Harald studies in Oxford. Olav is lonely after Märtha's death. For his birthday, the king invites princesses, but Harald prefers his friends-especially Sonja. As her friends settle, she urges Harald to seek his father's blessing to marry.
The press hunts for royal gossip, while Sonja fears losing herself if she joins the Royal Family. Queen Elizabeth pressures King Olav to address Harald's choice, as Harald battles between love and duty.
