Desperate for a reliable energy source, Jack, June, Quint and Dirk head to the planetarium, where a generator awaits - along with something else.
While racing their boomkarts, the friends make two discoveries: a new monster and a way to communicate with other humans.
Jack hosts the Monsters vs. Humans tournament games to distract his friends from repairing the ever-important radio. As they do so, however, zombies begin to close in around them.
Finally closing in on an antenna for the radio the kids encounter a strange monster who gives them visions of a dark and horrible future.
Jack grows even more worried about the radio and the divide it is putting between him and his friends, meanwhile a trip to the junkyard ends in disaster when the gang discovers what lurks beneath.
