Successful architect Alexandra is overcome with joy after she and her partner secure a contract for a skyscraper in Valencia; however, a phone call from the police in the middle of the night leaves her whole world in tatters.
Though she is truly needed on the skyscraper contract, which is her "baby" she fought for for so long, Alex heads back to the Albufera, to this strangely and wildly attractive other woman, introducing herself again as an ornithologist.
ATTACK: The more time Alex spends with Veronica and her daughter, Sol, in Albufera, the more she learns about Oscar's other life.
ON THE WAY: By spending more and more time in the Albufera with Veronica and Sol, Alex delves deeper and deeper into Oscar's former life. Veronica confides to Alex about her pregnancy.
THE LETTER: Coming home one day, Alex notices that Veronica's house has been broken into. Inspector Conrado and Veronica notice, however, that no valuables have been taken.
When Alexandra discovers that her late husband led a double life, she secretly befriends the other woman, Veronica, to uncover what really happened at the pier the night that he died.
