On leave for the death of Camille, Adèle enjoys at Parc de la Villette with Jess, Hyppolite and their children, when Hugo Fournier, 10, disappears in front of his parents. For the Fourniers, it's a nightmare that begins again for, twenty-five years ago, their eldest daughter, Laura, disappeared without a trace at 6. Adèle is disturbed when the police officer in charge of Laura's investigation confesses that he always considered Argos the kidnapper.
With Argos behind bars, the team continues the search for Hugo, missing now for several days. Unfortunately, he is the key to find him, for he has crucial information that will only deliver to Adele in exchange of Ulysse. A terrible race against time to find the child safe and sound is set off.
When Comisaire adjointe Baranski takes the team to a rural seminar to build up relationships, they find Émeline Belattar, pregnant, unconscious and seriously injured, by the side of the road. Adèle and Rocher notice her body is marked with a symbol, but Cavaroc, the gendarme in charge of the investigation, will not let them cooperate. The same symbol is in the vines of the chateau and winery they are staying in, owned by the Corbins, who become main suspects, but claim not knowing Émeline. As for them, they are the victims of relentless harassment for months: someone wants revenge.
When attending a party at the chateau they are staying in for a seminar, the team finds themselves in the midst of a hostage situation: Claire Chassaigne, armed with a gun, seeks revenge against Cyril Corbin, the owner, apparently for a long-standing trauma. Adèle manages the situation in the best possible way to avoid having casualties and makes Claire tell her story, while she waits for Rocher to release them.
When a man is killed in a fall from a bridge, suicide is immediately considered - and dismissed. This was a methodically planned murder, and it is not the first time a tragedy had occurred on this bridge.
