November 1999. The body of a Polish woman is found in a supposedly German grave. Jass' operation to catch booze traffickers goes terribly wrong. Mika wants to pursue one last case before retirement.
Jass gets involved in Mika's investigation by talking to the Romani girl. Piotr tries to reconnect with his daughter Wanda. Witold is searching for the letter he was supposed to get. Some of Kociolek's past is revealed.
With Wanda missing, Jass and Zarzycki are forced to join forces. Hanys makes a move on the local business. Witold is visited by a mysterious stranger.
Mika and Jass find a clue to the identity of Wanda's kidnapper. Jass' father continues his search for Kociolek's son. Hanys gets more aggressive in his illegal activities, which radicalizes people against him.
Zarzycki investigates Wanda's disappearance on his own. Kinga goes against her boss to dig into the Polish woman found in the mire grave. Jass, Mika, and Dzidzia all end up at Muszka's house.
In an early-'80s Polish town, a prostitute and a youth leader are found killed, but the police's handling of the case makes two journalists suspicious.
