The flu Futaro had caught during the school camp has sent him to hospital, where he discovers his inspection doctor is someone whom he has met before. The five quintuplets all visit the ill Futaro, with Itsuki bringing a luck charm hoping for a speedy recovery. Futaro is then reminded that the girl he met six years ago in the Kyoto trip also bought similar looking ones, which makes him begin to suspect that the young girl he met in Kyoto is one of the five quintuplets. The other day, when Futaro arrives for a tutoring session, he encounters a towel-clad quintuplet. She runs away, throwing a bag of failed exams at him. Futaro ceases to identity the culprit, realizing how hard it is to tell the five apart. Despite the eventual success of finding the culprit Ichika, Futaro still struggles to tell the quintuplets apart. Despite that, his main focus is still to figure out which quintuplet was the young girl he met six years ago in Kyoto.
There's one week left to the term final. Futaro and the sisters are set on passing this time, but Nino and Miku can't seem to get along.
Nino lets a dejected Futaro into her hotel room. Futaro tells her about how he'd run into the girl he met in Kyoto five years prior.
While Futaro, Ichika and Itsuki try to find a way to get Yotsuba out of the track club, Nino and Miku talk about Futaro. After Itsuki fails to trick the track club captain, Nino arrives to do it, revealing that she cut her hair. Yotsuba chooses to confront the track club herself, while Nino and Itsuki reconcile. With the sisters finally reunited, the study sessions resume. After unsuccessful results, Fuutarou offers to give them some cheating papers as a last resort. The day of the exams arrives...
After a chance encounter with Futaro and Raiha, the quintuplets invite them to their new apartment and show Futaro some suspiciously kind hospitality.
With his family deep in debt, Futaro Uesugi accepts a lucrative job tutoring underachieving quintuplet classmates to help them graduate high school.
