Former archaeologist Judith Potts goes for a swim, and hears a gunshot at the home of her neighbour, Stefan Dunwoody's house. Judith teams up with The Vicar's wife, and a local dog walker to investigate.
Liz Curtis becomes the prime suspect, DS Tanika Malik puts her faith in the trio of amateurs, and makes their assistance official. The killer strikes again, taking a third victim.
As the team races against time to stop the killer, Tanika brings Judith, Becks and Suzie into the police investigation as civilian advisors.
Judith reveals what happened in her past. DS Malik has doubts about her promotion. Daisy admits she has her suspicions about her husband Elliot. A deadly triangle emerges.
Judith, Suzie and Becks start an investigation. To assist with official police investigation, headed by Tanika, They must suspect witnesses, and face down real danger as they work against the clock to stop the killer in their tracks.
