Li Yanshu is injured after running into Gu Chengze. Gu Jinyu evades Gu Chengze and Secretary Gao. Han Junyao exchanges information on Li Yanshu for Gu Jinyu's signature on an important document. Gu Chengze accuses Li Yanshu of fraud.
Gu Jinyu confronts Li Yanshu at the lingerie show after she was fired by Han Junyao. Gu Chengze learns more about their past relationship from Secretary Gao then seeks out Li Yanshu with a proposition.
Li Yanshu wakes up at Gu Chengze's apartment. Gu Chengze formulates a plan, using Li Yanshu, to get Gu Jinyu more involved in the company. Li Yanshu seeks out Gu Chengze at Shenghong. A kiss and fainting also ensue.
Gu Chengze hires Li Yanshu to work directly for him. Later, she is kicked out of her home and seeks Gu Chengze's help. They make a deal. He learns more about her while she is sick. Gu Chengze discusses his medical issues with his doctor.
