Jang Jae Kyung, a narcotics officer, encounters his long-lost friend Park Jun Seo. Subsequently, Jun Seo is found dead, and Jae Kyung is kidnapped and forcibly addicted to an unknown substance, setting the stage for the unfolding events.
Jae Kyung investigates his abduction, learns Jun Seo's body was released without autopsy. He attends Jun Seo's funeral, reuniting with old friends. Jun Seo's will reveal beneficiaries of his $50M life insurance payout, setting up conflict.
