Myung Ja's daughter, Gong Hee, is excited thinking she may be able to finally land a permanent position at Jayce Fashion while Dan Soo, the sole heir to Jayce Fashion, returns to Korea. Myung Ja is frustrated and worried about her husband and children but brags about anything and everything she can think of in front of her friends at a school reunion.
At Maeng Dumplings, a new landlord announces that he will be significantly increasing the rent. Worried about the rent increase, Myung Ja tells her children to help out with monthly expenses. Meanwhile, Gyeong Bok can't help but notice the owner of the new alternation shop, and Chairwoman Hwang tries to plan blind dates for her grandson, Dan Soo.
Hong Dan visits Gong Boo's OB-GYN clinic as per Gong Hee's recommendation and causes a scene when she is diagnosed with premature menopause. At Maeng Dumplings, Myung Ja is upset after finding out that Gong Boo sold his apartment to pay alimony. Meanwhile, Myung Ja's mother, Sun Yi, is worried about her daughter and visits her home in Seoul unannounced.
Knowing that Myung Ja is struggling financially, Sun Yi leaves her wedding ring for her and returns to Kkotsan. Myung Ja's heart utterly breaks when she sees the ring and the cash her mother left for her. Meanwhile, Dan Soo reluctantly goes on the blind date his grandmother arranged for him.
Worried about her mother, Myung Ja organizes a video call with her siblings upon returning to Seoul to discuss what to do. Meanwhile, Dan Soo gets kicked out of home for ruining the blind date and needs to find a place to stay. He reaches out to Gyeong Sol for help and arrives at Myung Ja's house as a tenant.
