Yoo-jung has been in love with Do-hoon for 7 years. One day, during a downpour, Dohoon drives a car with broken wipers and hits someone while trying to avoid a car that has cut in. Min-hyuk is forced by his parents to marry Se-yeon, the daughter of a congressman. Yoo Jung proposes to her lover Do Hoon, who is about to be appointed as a prosecutor.
Unaware that Do-hoon hit anyone, Yoo-jung is happy about the proposal. Min-hyuk is furious when Do-hoon's car kills his old girlfriend Ji-hee. Yoo-jung becomes a suspect in a hit-and-run accident. Yoo-jung is named as a suspect in a hit-and-run case, and Do-hoon is assigned as the person in charge of the case. The evidence is all directed at Yoo-jung like a lie, and Yoo-jung is forced to investigate for Do-hoon's future.
Yoo-jung hopes that Do-hoon will reveal her innocence during the investigation. Yoo-jung's father, who belatedly finds out all the facts, goes to Ji-hee's mother to ask for forgiveness in order to settle the matter. However, under pressure from Min-hyuk and the deputy prosecutor, Do-hoon pleads guilty to five years in prison. Yoo-jung belatedly finds out that she is pregnant.
The guards notice wounds on the baby's body and separate the baby from Yoo-jung. She is put in solitary confinement. Do-hoon tries to help Yoo-jung and is recruited by Min-hyuk to review Yoo-jung's parole.
After being released from prison Yoo-jung attempts to get a job but because she is an ex-convict it's not easy. Yoo-jung searches for her child, but is shocked to see the child's death certificate. Min-hyuk follows Yoo-jung everywhere after her release. His desire to get revenge on Yoo-jung makes Se-yeon feels uneasy about him.
Yoo-jung is betrayed by her lover Do-hoon and falsely accused of a hit-and-run accident. Min-hyuk, an heir to a conglomerate, lost his lover Ji-hee in the car accident. Min-hyuk seeks revenge and falls in love with Yoo-jung.
