Choi Gang-u creates Mad Dog, an investigation team, after an airplane crash takes the life of his wife and son. Two years later, he meets Kim Min-jun, brother of the co-pilot, who was accused of crashing the aircraft on purpose.
Two years ago, Gang-u's team was investigating an insurance fraud case perpetrated by Ko Jin-cheol. While chasing him down, the team's newbie gets in a car accident, causing Gang-u to miss a flight with his wife and son.
Min Jun threatens Gang-u with a clip containing illegal deeds Mad Dog committed while investigating cases. Gang-u secretly enters Min Jun's house, finding articles related to the plane crash posted on his walls.
Gang-u finds out that Min Jun is after Lee Mi-ran, who made Beom Jun take out 8 different insurance policies before the plane crash. Gang-u helps Min Jun by chasing Han Seong-jin to find out why Min Jun is investigating a dead woman.
Gang-u and Min Jun pursue Lee Mi Ran, who is still alive. Meanwhile, Hong-ju realizes there's a dark secret regarding the plane accident that's thought to be a suicidal crash.
