Mitsuko and Taeko process grief differently after the death of the classmate they loved. Then a would-be film crew and their friend Shin approach them.
Taeko tells the guys about her wilder days and the dangers of Murata, inspiring a new film idea. Meanwhile Mitsuko falls victim to his charm.
Back in 1985, the girls are distraught after Eiko's death and make a suicide pact. In 1995, Murata continues his scams and movie production begins.
The murders continue while the crew tries to warn Mitsuko, but she refuses to hear the truth. Murata's darkness shows as he gets involved with the film.
The story in the forest takes a darker turn. Murata charms Shin and the guys when he overhauls the production with violence, causing a rift and worse.
